Midwifery Unit Manager - Warwick/Stanthorpe

Permanent

Salary up to $140,000 + super (dependent on experience)

Up to $70,000 relocation allowance

Are you a dedicated and experienced Midwifery skilled looking for a leadership role where you can make a real difference? Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service is seeking a dynamic Midwifery Unit Manager to drive excellence in midwifery practice and lead our passionate team in providing outstanding care for women and families.

At Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service, you'll be at the forefront of advancing midwifery care, with the autonomy to shape and influence high-quality clinical outcomes. The Midwifery Unit Manager provides leadership and direction to midwifery staff and is responsible for implementing plans related to safe; women and family focused clinical care, professional development of staff and financial accountability.

- What You'll Do:

? Leadership & Direction: Provide strategic guidance and support to midwifery staff, ensuring the delivery of safe, women and family-focused care.

? Autonomous Practice:



Operate at an advanced level with significant decision-making responsibilities in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

? Operational Oversight: Manage human and material resources, implement plans for professional development, and oversee financial accountability.

? Clinical Excellence: Apply your expertise to achieve optimal health outcomes through advanced midwifery practice and interprofessional care coordination.

? Innovation & Growth: Enact strategies that foster a culture of education, research, and workforce development.

Key Skills & Attributes:

? Advanced Midwifery Practice: Demonstrated ability to apply contemporary midwifery practices and manage maternity services effectively.

? Leadership & Management: Strong skills in team engagement, resource management, and operational planning.

? Tech-Savvy: Proficient in clinical information systems and technology to support decision-making and quality improvement.

? Clinical Standards: In-depth knowledge of NMBA Midwife Standards for Practice and NSQHS Standards.

? Change Management: Skilled in applying change management principles to navigate and implement organizational changes successfully.

? Commitment to Lifelong Learning: Promoting a culture of continuous education and skills development for all midwives.
