Utilising our established clinics throughout metro Western Australia and Queensland, the REDiMED team can offer the skills and services of expert, Surgeons, General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Nurses, Medico-Legal Advisors and an all-inclusive Clerical Medical Support Team.
The successful Occupational Health Nurse will join our team on a full-time basis and have the ability to work across our multiple clinics in Queensland, including Mackay, Spring Hill and Eagle Farm.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A comprehensive background in Occupational Health
- Experience developing and managing occupational health compliance (i.e. RSHQ, TSANZ, NATA and ISO)
- Knowledge of QLD health monitoring requirements
- Professional and engaging communication skills; articulate and able to converse with people from a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
A ‘Day in the Life’ of Nurses may include:
- Performing health screening (spirometry, audiometry, drug and alcohol testing)
- Managing and reporting on compliance with occupational health legislation
- Assisting in the daily running of Plastics, Orthopaedic and General Practitioner Clinics
- Assisting with Skin Checks
- Running Immunisation Programs - both onsite and clinic-based
- Assisting Surgeons with Minor Procedures under a Local Anaesthetic
- Stock Monitoring and Ordering
- Sterilising Equipment.
RediMed Nurses are Required to Have:
1. Registration with AHPRA
2. Professional indemnity insurance
3. Current Police Clearance or Ability to Obtain One
4. Current Australian Drivers Licence
5. Current Vaccination/Immunisation Certificate
6. Current Phlebotomy Certificate
7. Exceptional Patient Care and Customer Service Skills
8. A Commitment to Best Practice
9. Current First Aid Certificate (both CPR and Defibrillation Competent)
In addition, we would like you to have:
1. Certifications in spirometry, audiometry and DAS (drug and alcohol screening)
2. Occupational noise certification
3. Experience with clinical measurement calibration
4. Experience with clinic stock control
5. Cold chain management
6. Safety data sheet management.
