About your opportunity
The Mental Health Service Group are currently seeking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to their team on a fixed term temporary full-time basis, up to 29/01/2023 with the possibility of extension not exceeding 12 months. This position sits within the Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team at Kirwan Health Campus.
The Occupational Therapist will work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team to support consumers of the service to consolidate meaningful independent living skills to enable mental health, wellbeing, and recovery within the community. Their role is integral in supporting consumers in living the life that's meaningful to them while navigating a mental health diagnosis.
The Occupational Therapist will support the consumer and multidisciplinary team in developing clear care plans to enhance the person's adaptive skills in their home setting with overall aim to improve the person's independent living and health management skills.
Generous remuneration package value up to $9,916 p.m. comprising:
- Salary range of $2719.80 to $3997.60 p.f. ( HP3)
- 4, 5, 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This position will require the successful candidate to participate in an extended hours roster to satisfy operational need .
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- All positions appointed to Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
