The National Capital Private Hospital is seeking enthusiastic and innovative Occupational Therapists to join our team on a casual basis.

We additionally have a full-time role available for the right applicant.

The successful applicants would be involved in providing services to either the inpatient rehab services and/or the acute surgical wards, including CCU and ICU.

We are seeking applications from:

- Casual Occupational Therapists & a full-time Occupational Therapist for regular weekdays work in acute surgical or rehabilitation settings

day surgery unit, medical/rehabilitation and surgical wards. We are committed to providing innovate, progressive, best patient care.

As an Allied Health Professional, your responsibilities will include:

Providing comprehensive services to inpatients (including inpatient rehab, orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiac and neurosurgery, and ICU/CCU patients).

Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence based practice

Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department

Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people

Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services.

Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students.

Essential Criteria:

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

Current AHPRA Registration as an occupational Therapist

Excellent clinical practice skills to manage a high acuity caseload

At least 1 year of previous hospital or rehab experience is preferred

Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills





Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Excellent organisation and time management skills

Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
