About the role

- Assist in the provision of comprehensive Pharmacy Services to The Prince Charles Hospital and other facilities throughout Metro North Hospital and Health Service under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist.

- Demonstrated ability to provide general Pharmacy Assistant services to a Hospital Pharmacy Department including the ability to accurately dispense prescriptions and maintain a ward based imprest system
- Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Queensland Health dispensing system i-Pharmacy and Discharge Medication Record (DMR) system ELMS/eDS




- Knowledge of the requirements of the Pharmaceutical Benefits and Highly Specialised Drugs Scheme
- Maintain accurate patient information by contacting Services Australia as required for patients details and enter data into HBCIS and iPharmacy
- High level of computer literacy including the ability to contribute to the development of databases, complete data entry and maintain accuracy and integrity of information in databases
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology
- Work cooperatively and effectively within a team
- High level communication skills
- Ability to work some weekends/Public Holidays on a roster basis
