About the Role
Live and work on the iconic Northern Beaches of Sydney at NBH! We are seeking enthusiastic and clinically experienced nurses whom are passionate about patient care to join our professional Emergency team.
We offer state of the art equipment in world class facilities, diverse and friendly teams, as well as flexible shifts so you can achieve work/life balance.
Our Emergency Department (ED) is located on the ground floor, providing 24/7 care to residents and visitors of the Northern Beaches community. The unit comprises of 50 beds and treatment spaces, the large ground floor area is divided into zones:
• Paediatrics
• 24 hour Short stay
• Adult acute assessment
• Resuscitation
• Mental health assessment
Your Role
Plan, assess, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients/their families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes.
Coordinate and provide hands-on nursing care; supervision, education, direction and support for Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Assistants in Nursing (AIN).
Provide support and guidance to nursing peers and patients for the management of their health care, rehabilitation or end of life needs.
Maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development
Essential Criteria:
Current Registration with AHPRA
Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing (or working towards)
Commitment to Quality Patient Care
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Works well independently and within a team
Basic computer skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $34.59- $48.58 per hour.

Applicants will be required to provide a current (12 months or less) National Police check and a NSW Working with Children’s Check, prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases prior to commencement.
