About the role

As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for the provision of high quality, safe, people-focused care to those assigned to you, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes. Your role will be within this dynamic and challenging unit where teamwork is paramount. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills as well as sound communication skills both verbal and written. You will have emergency nursing experience and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. This role requires you to be available to work all shifts on a rotating roster including morning, afternoon, night shift and weekends.

Key Responsibilities





- Performs comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients with the ability to develop a plan of care in consultation with the patient and the multidisciplinary team that ensures continuity of care
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all Hospital matters
- Take appropriate action to meet needs of the unit, assisting others when help is required
- Demonstrate flexibility that meets changing needs of the unit or work environment

The Calvary Mater Newcastle is an Affiliated Health Organisation providing services to both public and private patients primarily from the Hunter New England area.
