Knox Private Hospital is looking to employ Registered Nurses to join their busy Cardiac/Cardiothoracic unit on a permanent, full time and part time basis. About us
Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 20 bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories and Cardiac surgery.
Chesterfield is a 28 Bed, Cardio Thoracic ward caring for post op CAGS/Valves, Cardiac Angiography and PPMs. You will also be caring for post op VATS and other forms of thoracic surgery along with cardio thoracic medical conditions. Supported by an education team, we provide ongoing training and development,
including post graduate education and advanced practice courses.
As a Registered Nurse on the cardiothoracic/cardiac ward, your responsibilities will include:
Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
Deliver evidence based nursing care
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
Ensure patient and staff safety
Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care
Proactively assess the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
Complete all required documentation in accordance with local and National Policies
Essential Criteria:
Current Registration with AHPRA with a minimum 2 years’ experience
Experience in an acute hospital setting, ideally in a cardiac ward
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Commitment to quality patient care
Works independently and within a team
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope Victoria - Nurses’ and Midwives’ Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025" (salaries range between $34.56 to $46.22 per hour).
