Farm Hand for Farm Animal Rescue in Dayboro QLD. Caring for animals that have been previously abused, abandoned or neglected. No experience required.
We have ONE position available starting March 31st, 2023 and finishing May 12th, 2023.
9 half days per week (will be combined as full days according to operational need).
Work is not continuous and occurs on and off throughout the day. You will have multiple unpaid breaks each day. First tasks occur at dawn and last at dusk.
Work involves:
Barn opening
Habitat cleaning
Feeding
Basic healthcare
Barn preparation
Animal barning
Fixed term position
Salary is $721 per week less tax
On farm accommodation cost is $70 per week. This is a residential role and successful applicants must reside on the farm. The farm is vegan, animal products are not permitted on the property.
Farm work is tiring, heavy and dirty. We are seeking an applicant who wants to see the animals at sanctuary thrive. The pay is low and the work is hard, but the impact of the job on providing excellent outcomes for compromised animals is priceless.
Unfortunately we cannot vary the job offer dates and we cannot be used to qualify for a second year WHV.
