About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team, focusing on achieving positive outcomes for all our consumers and their families. We provide a high standard of care in accordance with the Strengths Model, operating under a recovery-oriented framework.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments (including biopsychosocial assessment) and formulate and implement treatment plans. You will also be offered a range of learning opportunities to develop specialist skills, and the opportunity to operate as part of an integrated Adult Area Mental Health Service.

Coordinate, oversee and monitor admission tools working toward discharge planning for consumers

Liaise with community groups and relevant agencies to develop and review community networks which enhance continuity of care

Provide an advanced social work service, which includes consultation and education for consumers, carers and other health care professionals in the Acute Inpatient Service

Supervise and provide training to social students and other non social work staff

Facilitate individual and group work, focusing on interpersonal skills and strengths of consumers, utilising recovery principles





Classifications for this position will range from Social Worker Grade 2 YC42 – YC45 ($84,614 - $97,266 per annum)

Your Contribution

Approved degree in Social Work, and eligible for membership of AASW

Minimum of 2 years’ post qualification experience in mental health (desirable)

Overseas qualified Social Workers require endorsement by AASW and must be able to provide evidence of this

Current Victorian Driving Licence

Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
