Position: Team Leader
Location: Aboriginal Health Service (just outside of Cairns, up to 1-hour drive)
Pay: $85 per hour
Duration: Long-term contract (ideally 12 weeks)

Are you passionate about maternal healthcare and looking to make a lasting impact in Aboriginal communities? We are seeking an experienced Dual Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse to lead a small, dedicated team within a Aboriginal Health Service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of 1-2 Registered Nurses and an Aboriginal Health Worker.
- Provide culturally sensitive maternal healthcare, focusing on the unique needs of Aboriginal mothers and families.
- Oversee and ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care in a supportive workplace.
- Work collaboratively with community members, healthcare professionals, and local organisations to offer comprehensive, patient-centered care.





Qualifications:

- Dual Registration as a Midwife and Nurse.
- Expertise in maternal health and a commitment to improving Aboriginal health outcomes.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a small team effectively.
- Ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within a multidisciplinary team.
