About the role
Prince of Wales Private Hospital is seeking individuals with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering patient centred care and service to join our team as a Theatre Assistant on a Full-time basis.
Part-time hours or Casual Work may be considered for the right applicant.
You’ll play a vital role in assisting our Operating Theatres run smoothly and providing the best possible experience for patients.

As a Theatre Assistant your responsibilities will include:
Safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatre
Provide safe effective patient handling and positioning
Setting up of theatres
Maintaining a safe patient environment including the setup and cleaning of theatres during procedures
Providing support to the nursing staff as required
Essential Criteria:
Experience in a hospital environment preferred
Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills High level attention to detail
Flexibility, reliability and ability to work under pressure
Excellent time management skills with an ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
Desirable Criteria:
Prior experience as a Theatre Assistant, Patient service’s Assistant, or Wardsman

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope – NSW Health Professionals & Support Services – Enterprise Agreement – 2017-2021
