Cooking for Residents in Aged Care provides you with a prime opportunity to move away from the dread of split shifts whilst still providing an prospect to create special dining experiences for Residents. A renowned local treasure of the Oakey community, the staff of CWA House pride themselves on providing exceptional home cooked meals freshly prepared daily in their onsite commercial kitchen.
Essential Skills
- Experience of 2 years commercial cooking.
- Training and knowledge of Food Handling and Food Safety Programmes
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated understanding of WHS and Infection Control
- Responsible for the coordination and day to day direction of the Hotel Services team.
Knowledge
- Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
- Basic understanding of infection control principles within a hospitality environment
Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
Desirable
- Qualifications within the hospitality industry
- Safe Food Handling Training
- Chemical Handling certificate
- Previous experience working in the aged care or health sectors
