BUSINESS OVERVIEW

Levantine Hill Estate is a privately owned, family company, which operates what is possibly the largest single-site premium tourism and hospitality business in Australia. The assets of the business operate from a major vineyard of circa 200 acres along the Maroondah Highway in Coldstream in the Yarra Valley. Business activities that originate from this major site are wine production, wine wholesaling, tourism generally, functions, events, restaurant, wine tasting, hospitality generally, and an extensive hotel and accommodation operation of 33 rooms.

POSITION OVERVIEW

In addition to running the day-to-day operations of the venue, there is a strong reliance on this role to improve profitability through sales, business development and growth.

There is also a strong element of growing and training the team to deliver on expected budget through providing excellence in service with every guest interaction.

Reporting directly to the General Manager Hotel and Hospitality,



this role is only suitable for a candidate who wants to run all facets of the business and grow with the business.

This is also a hands-on position requiring operational excellence, attention to detail, financial acumen, and salesmanship.

Accurate reporting and attention to detail will be a critical element of this role. There is a high level of compliance and best practice in the business. Levantine Hill aims to be at the forefront of the industry in everything we do and you will be a key stakeholder in achieving this.

SOME OF THE CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is varied and covers many facets of the business. Some of the areas of duties include and are not limited to:

Your key responsibilities will be broad and cover all aspects of the Venue, including, but not limited to:

- service;
- administration;
- asset management and stock control;
- budget reporting, delivery and P&L; responsibility;
- compliance and risk management;
- human resource management;
- operations;
- strategy and systems –point of sale, Seven Rooms, website;
- wine sales;
- business development;
- logistics;
- suppliers;
- etc
