We’re looking for a full-time Maintenance Handy Person, someone who is a self-starter and always places the needs of our guests first by ensuring a quality room is presented each time. The right person will be able to work and communicate effectively as part of a team, as well as independently to get daily maintenance tasks done.

Pay rate is as per hospitality award, Monday - Friday $23.52 p/h.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all guest maintenance requests are solved in a timely manner

• General Handyman duties - including repairing, patching, and painting walls

• Coordination and organization of external trades and suppliers

• Take the lead in implementing and executing a detailed preventative maintenance management (PMM) schedule

• General cleaning duties including rubbish collection.





• General gardening duties including but not limited grounds-keeping and gardening ensuring all plants and gardens are kept nice and tidy.

• Be willing to support the wider hotel team and roll up the sleeves to help

• Physical activities, including use of ladders, lifting weights less than or equal to 22kg

Skills & Experience

• Able to work as part of a vibrant team who are hungry to deliver extraordinary results

• Have good knowledge of in-room maintenance and able to work independently and confidently to ensure rooms are back online quickly for guest occupation

• Excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with all hotel departments and guests

• Possess excellent time management skills

• Be punctual and reliable

• Have a solid understanding of Safe Work Practices and OH&S;
