We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Manager to join and run our growing team.
About the Role
Position Overview: As the Pub Manager and Licensee at The Bolt Inn, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar and boutique accommodation, ensuring financial success, and delivering an outstanding experience to our customers. You will lead by example, manage a dedicated team, and ensure the pub operates efficiently and in compliance with all regulations.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Lead a small team of staff, participating in tasks like drink mixing and table service, while managing staff schedules and addressing performance issues.
- Ensure bar staffing is optimal, especially during peak times, and provide training and development opportunities for staff.
- Achieve sales targets through effective management, oversee inventory, control costs, and manage budgeting.
- Create a welcoming environment, maintain high service standards,
handle customer feedback and complaints, and develop promotional strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and legal requirements related to alcohol service and workplace safety.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and staff performance, and prepare financial reports to track performance and ensure regulatory compliance
- Implement and oversee operational procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to stay competitive and meet evolving customer needs.
Qualifications & experience
- Proven experience in pub/ bar management or a similar role, with strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial management, inventory control, and customer service.
- Solid communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and licensing laws.
- Enthusiasm and a proactive attitude towards achieving goals and delivering exceptional service.
