About the Role
The Sonographer role is responsible for the provision of Ultrasound imaging services to the patients of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
Duties of the position include:
Perform all Ultrasound examinations, to the highest standards of quality and care, demonstrating extensive knowledge of ultrasound imaging.
Demonstrate a wide variety of examination experience and clinical skill in Ultrasound imaging.
Display excellent communication skills, interacting with patients and other staff.
Classifications for this position will range from:
Registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
Wide range of Ultrasound examination experience and competence
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Medical Imaging
St. Vincent’s Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a tertiary imaging department providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services to SVHM’s inpatients and outpatients.
The Ultrasound department consists for 5 diagnostic rooms and performs a wide range of general and complex examinations such as abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular and breast.
