About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Sous Chef. with a positive attitude
The role will report to the Executive Chef and you will assist in the managing of kitchen operations within the Club.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a High level of hygiene and food safety standards
- Ensuring stock rotation and ordering requirements for their section including assisting with monthly stocktake
- General chef duties including short order, various member and corporate functions
- Leading by example as a hands-on-chef with excellent quality assurance and standards
- Working to update menus regularly for the benefit of regular return guests
- Establishing and maintaining effective employee working relationships at all times
- Abiding by the Club and department regulations, policies and procedures
- Work with minimal supervision and monitor the productivity of other ambassadors
Skills & Experience
Your skills and experience will include:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a fine dining environment
- Experience catering for weddings, special occasions and social events up to 200 people
- Trade Qualifications [or similar]
- Previous experience in high-volume kitchens
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and procedures
- A high standard of professional grooming
- Excellent presentation and exceptional communication skills
- The ability to work well under pressure with a professional manner
- Good knowledge of current food trends, dedicated with a true passion for food
- Full Australian working right is essential with no restrictions
- A flexible approach to the roster with the ability to work days, nights and weekends
- Good understanding of food cost and portion control
- Must have Your own transport
