As a Clinical Nurse Child Health you will w ork autonomously within the healthcare team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of specialist tele-triage and Child Health nursing care. This role provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research.

- Demonstrate ongoing learning and professional development to provide quality person-centred care and health education to callers.
- Participate in developing and undertaking quality initiatives and audits, identifying inconsistencies between policy and practice.
- Demonstrate application of advanced clinical leadership through effective delegation, communication, problem solving and critical thinking.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge, skills and competence in Child Health nursing practice and theory Child Health specialist nursing.
Mandatory qualifications, licences and other requirements:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse (RN). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervision/manager prior to the commencement of employment.
- Whilst not mandatory, post graduate study in the field of Child Health would be highly desirable.
- Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the service roster (06:00-23:00 7 days a week).
- There may be a requirement to work across more than one site. This may include co-locating to Zillmere.
- All employees are required to complete mandatory training and competencies in accordance with Health Contact Centre policies and procedures.
