The role

Reporting to the Chief Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Officer, you will provide comprehensive and highly organised administrative and executive support that is both skilled and personalised to the Chief Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Officer and the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist, including data entry, documentation and record keeping, distribution and tracking of correspondence and briefing materials, and the maintenance of mail, email and contact lists. In addition, you will work collaboratively with administration support officers, project officers and senior staff of the Branch to manage and assist staff to achieve deliverables for the Chief Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Officer.

The successful person

You will have:

• Demonstrated experience in the provision of high level executive support services and a sound knowledge of the functions of a senior executive officer or senior executive group.

• Experience in providing business support services such as coordinating administrative, financial and human resource activities and documentation.

• Demonstrated and highly developed interpersonal, consultation and other communication skills, particularly tact, discretion,



sensitivity and confidentiality required to work with senior management and staff alike.

• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.

• High level skills in written communication and an ability to work in a team environment developing effective relationships with stakeholders.
