HR Manager needed for a fantastic not-for-profit organisation located in Canberra central.

Our client is leading not-for-profit organisation with a presence in the community for over 60 years, providing a range of services to meet the needs of young people and families in the local community. The organisation has a reputation for delivering high quality services to support vulnerable people.
Your new role
the Human Resources (HR) Manager shares the responsibility for achieving team goals and priorities in line with the organisation's strategic objectives, values and outcomes. The HR Manager works with the HR Director to manage HR functions in the business including recruitment, on- boarding, induction, workers compensation and return to work, ensuring the maintenance of employee data and records and making recommendations to support best practice.
The HR Manager also provides guidance to staff on HR matters and contributes to strategic HR and employment relations matters.
This position also oversees volunteering and student placements within the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualification in Human Resources or a related field is essential.
Proven experience in a management / senior position.
Understanding of Equal Employment Chance, Work, Health & Safety and Confidentiality.
Be in possession of a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card (for ACT Staff) and be willing to undergo a National Criminal History Check.
Current driver's license.
