The Banking and Financial Services Group within Macquarie are looking for a Java Engineer to join the Digital Experience team.

Are you an experienced Software Engineer? Do you have an interest in finance and technology? We need a talented and driven team player to join our team to innovate and push digital boundaries.

As part of the digital team, you will drive the vision to create an industry leading, member-centric technology experience. The team are looking for a forward thinking, action-oriented individual to help drive the implementation and development of creative, cutting-edge solutions.

While strategic thinking and coordination are important elements of this role, you will be required to take a very hands-on approach with requirement gathering, design, development, testing and delivery alongside other related activities across the integration space.

What you will do in the role:

- Manage and gather requirements and design complex business applications, data integration solutions and secured APIs
- Lead initiatives to ensure feature deliverables are met on time
- Migrate changes and content between environments




- Install and maintain appropriate integration development tools and environments
- Work closely with project teams on customer-specific initiatives that involve data movement, translation, or integration development

To be successful in this role you will have experience with:

- Java
- JSON and RESTful services
- XML, XSD Schemas and XSLT Transforms
- RESTful API and SOAP services
- Integration patterns and practices
- Intellij IDE, Git source control
- Integration debugging, monitoring and testing tools (such as Elastic Stack, SOAPUI, Wireshark, Fiddler, Linux TCPDump)
- SQL (creating and updating tables, views, procedures, queries)
- MS SQL
- Linux basic shell commands
