About the company: A leader in the automotive industry, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance. We are looking for an experienced HSE Systems Manager to join our client's team and drive the development and implementation of HSE governance, processes, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Enterprise HSE Specialists and regional People and Safety managers to ensure compliance with HSE obligations and effective management of HSE risks.
- Lead the planning and delivery of HSE management systems and solution improvement programs using structured change and project management principles.
- Oversee HSE communications, committees, and consultation groups to achieve objectives and effective performance.
- Develop and enhance HSE data, records, and reporting systems (including IT platforms) to support management decision-making and monitoring of HSE risks and controls.
- Facilitate the ongoing management and review of the HSE risk management program.
- Work with internal audit and stakeholders to develop and monitor the Annual HSE Assurance Program, conducting audits and investigations as required.
- Build internal relationships to coach and enable business stakeholders in HSE system and management requirements.
- Collaborate with Training resources and HSE Specialists to support training needs analysis and the development of the HSE Mandatory Training Program.
- Support the development and sustainment of strong technical capability across the HSE team to provide trusted professional advice.

Skills and Experience:





- Minimum 10 years experience in a similar role.
- Robust understanding and experience with HSE legislation, codes of practice, and standards.
- Proven experience in developing HSE management systems aligned with ISO standards and complex legislative requirements.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop practical HSE solutions.
- Experience in quality, process, and business improvement (e.g., LEAN or Six Sigma).
- Leadership experience in guiding HSE professionals across multiple levels and disciplines.
- Technical risk management expertise (e.g., Fishbone, Bowties).
- Ability to serve as a trusted advisor and leader, coaching and influencing cultural change in line with strategic HSE direction.

Qualifications and Industry Experience:

- Degree or Bachelor level in HSE or equivalent applied experience.
- ICAM Lead Incident Investigator.
- Lead Auditor.
- Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials Management (highly desirable).
- Fire Safety Advisor (FSA) accreditation (highly desirable).
- Change Management/Project Management certification.
- Exp. preferably in Rail/Aviation, Oil and Gas, High Reliability/High-Risk Production, Retail and Manufacturing or Automotive (a plus).
