Northpark Private is currently seeking a Nurse Unit Manager with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage our operating rooms. Working alongside a vibrant team.

About Us:

Northpark Private Hospital is a leading healthcare facility that specializes in acute surgical, medical, maternity and mental health services.

Located in the rapidly developing Northern suburbs of Melbourne, Northpark and La Trobe Private are very easily accessed via the Western Ring Road, Eastern Freeway and also by public transport.

The hospital currently has 145 beds, including a 4 bed HDU and 5 theatres.

Our planned expansion will include increase in Mental health beds and growth of 4 theatres and 34 beds with additional consulting suites as well at our LaTrobe site.

As the Nurse Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:

Providing operational direction for the Operating Theatre Unit to ensure efficient and effective management

Support the POSM and provide leadership, guidance, mentoring and support to your nursing teams

Coordinate the delivery of safe,



efficient and evidence based nursing care that meets current best practice standards

Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources

Maintain a professional and constructive working relationship with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset to enable high quality patient outcomes.

Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilization standards

Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality/Risk management

Facilitate a positive learning culture to ensure continuous improvement

Have good knowledge of flexible rosters, budgets and key performance indicators

Essential Criteria:

Current Nursing Regiusatration with APHRA

Tertiary Qualification in Health related discipline or Management (or working towards)

Minimum of 4 years management experience

Minimum of 3 years Human Resources Management experience

Demonstrated leadership/management experience

An ability to communicate with influence to achieve results

Strong clinical expertise and passion for delivering high quality patient care

Commitment to enabling a culture of positive continuous improvement

Remuneration:

If you are successful in the role,



you will receive a salary based the current Healthscope Victoria Nurses & Midwives' Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025, which equates to $61.06 per hour.
