Are you an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse looking to join our Nurse Management team?
The opportunity
This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Damascus Health Services Unit to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction of Brisbane Private Hospital.
You will provide operational direction for the Damascus Health Services Unit to ensure efficient and effective management of the unit and coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based. In addition, you will be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels.
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will undertake direct patient care as required providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team.

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics,
spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane’s leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.
About you
As an experienced leader you will have extensive experience working within a private Mental Health setting.
You will have demonstrated proven experience, or a keen interest in people development and leading team culture whilst having a thorough depth of knowledge in ACORN & National Standards. To be successful, you will have:
Current Registration with AHPRA
Experience in the Mental Health setting / Post graduate Mental Health qualification
Proven experience building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated HR management experience
A management degree or working towards desired
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management
