PRIMARY DETAIL

Develop and coordinate the end-to-end production of high-quality video and digital media content and resources in collaboration with academic and professional staff.

THE ROLE

- Salary Package: HEW Level 7 from $99,739 to $108,138p.a., plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading

- Appointment Type: 10-month fixed term, part-time (21 hours per week)

- Location: Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde)

The Role

The Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences at Macquarie University has a diverse set of disciplines and a wide variety of media and digital needs in our learning and teaching enterprise. Our students are at the core of everything we do, and we see the integration of digital technologies as a natural and contemporary requirement. Reporting to the Educational Development, Governance and Initiatives Manager, the successful candidate will be part of the broader Educational Services team, delivering high quality learning design services to a range of stakeholders in the Faculty.

We are seeking an all-rounder media production specialist who thrives when working all forms of modern media including video, audio, still photography, web design (incl. html, css etc.), graphic design and infographics. We also work closely with Adobe and a full knowledge of the whole Creative Cloud suite is an added benefit.

About You

You will have a proven track record of applying your creative knowledge and technical skills in the end-to-end production of high-quality video and digital media content. As an all-rounder in media production,



your past experiences as a Production Specialist have required you to work across all forms of modern media and you take pride in using your knowledge and skillset to develop resources in collaboration with stakeholders.

Experience and knowledge of the education sector (preferably Higher Education) would be a distinct advantage.

- Relevant qualification in multimedia production or a related discipline and / or equivalent industry experience.





- Extensive experience with all forms of video production and editing

- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, desirable: After Effects)

- Knowledge of digital user experience principles; and adult learning principles and outcomes

- Experience working with stakeholders and building strong stakeholder partnerships to design, develop and implement educational media resources and solutions.

- Experience coordinating the delivery of media productions across the full lifecycle, including planning, scheduling and coordination of associated workflows and activities.
