About the role
This role is responsible for the planning and execution of projects and initiatives, managing workflows and communicating issues and status. The Project Manager will manage deliver across internal teams and vendors. The TPM will communicate in various formal and informal methods to convey project status, issues, conflicts and risks.
The Project Manager will work with various business stakeholders to plan projects. As part of the initiatives or projects they lead, the Project Manager will help investigate technical issues and ideas. The Project Manager will work hand-in-hand with the Product Owner to bridge the technical team and business stakeholders. is highly aware of the business needs and requests and makes sure they are logged and presented appropriately to the technical team(s).
In this role, you'll:
Be accountable for large team / workstream or multiple smaller ones.
Leads initiatives and cross-team projects with little guidance, focused on tactical time frame.
Manage vendors from engagement to delivery ensuring value is delivered for the statement of work
Integrate knowledge of product vision and functionality into development efforts to ensure business needs are fulfilled with the technical solution.
Work closely with product owners to collect business objectives and requirements to clearly define, document and scope projects and initiatives.
Lead the exploration, evaluation, and design of technical solutions to meet objectives of the software projects.
Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate business requirements into project plans
Manage to established KPIs and targets and look at tactical timeline, or a longer view of well-defined deliveries.
Understand what makes an effective project process and can modify individual project team process to meet the needs at hand.
Facilitate squad cadences including showcases, sprint reviews and sprint planning, which includes the preparation of required artefacts.
Develop software by formulating objectives, planning project life-cycle deliverables and resource availability plans.
Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
Ideally, we're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in project management during with strong experience working in a lead role on one or more projects.
- Cards and Financial Services knowledge highly desirable across originations, receivables platforms, servicing and/or collections domains
- Proficient in facilitating group project meetings including diverse disciplines and development cultures.
- Proficient in Identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks for projects.
- Understands underlying architecture of owned development, and can communicate it to non-technical parties.
- Ability to understand business requirements, technical design and solution and application architecture
- Strong understanding of delivery, governance, change management and benefits realisation frameworks, certifications are a plus
- Project Management Professional certification (PMP) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- A team player, collaborative by nature
- Excellent business acumen and ability to build strong open relationships with business stakeholders

- This role is accountable for delivering the specific OKRs set at the start of each project or mission
- Adhering to the Product Engineering delivery governance framework
