Are you experienced in working in a fast paced environment, specialising in workplace relations and investigations? If so, DEECA is looking for someone like you to be part of a team of workplace relations practitioners within a dynamic and and collaborative environment. This role requires high levels of stakeholder engagement.
Previous experience in state government is highly desirable as well as previous experience in workplace relations and investigations of complex people matters.
Seeking someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write briefs and correspondence to senior executives, often with short turnaround timeframes.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Human Resources Management with a particular focus on operational Industrial and Employee Relations and Investigations. A demonstrated understanding of investigation techniques and principles, ideally involving misconduct matters is required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide specialist advice to managers on industrial relations and staff employment issues. In providing this advice the occupant will need to possess detailed operational knowledge of employment law, including relevant federal and state legislation (e.g. Fair Work Act and OHS Act). A detailed understanding of Government policy in regard to Enterprise Bargaining processes is also desirable.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of period 12 months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
