The Opportunity

At Alstom Australia, we’ve been building sustainable mobility solutions over 100 years and have operations across NSW, VIC, QLD, SA and WA. We’ve delivered some of the most iconic infrastructure projects which play a critical role in shaping the future of transport in our cities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel, Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our collaborative and dynamic ANZ Legal and Contracts Management team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for front-end legal work across Alstom’s portfolio of major transport construction and infrastructure projects. Your key responsibilities include:

- Acting as the lead Legal Advisor for a diverse range of major civil/construction projects.
- Providing expert legal advice to a broad range of stakeholders on all matters of construction and contract law.
- Supporting the business in the review and submission of contracts and tender documentation.
- Assisting the legal function with general legal counsel matters and corporate governance.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Professional who enjoys providing legal expertise in the tender/bid phase of complex major projects . You will also have;

- Strong commercial acumen coupled with great interpersonal skills, communication and excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a Lawyer (either in-house or private practice) within the infrastructure, engineering or construction sector, ideally with a Tier 1 contractor .
- Familiarity with public tenders and experience with PPP agreements.
- A relevant Law degree.
