Ongoing positions available for chemical compounders based in the Ingleburn area.
Our client is a manufacturer of consumer goods, with a strong consideration for workplace safety, culture and development.
The Role:
- Prepare tanks for batches (wash/rinse/sanitising).
- Understand batch method of manufacture and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including correct sign off procedures.
- Dispense Deionised water and bulk solvents for batches.
- Operate processing equipment e.g. homogenisers, pumps etc
- Adjust batches using additions following laboratory approval.
- Sample the batches and tank dip (volume) measurements.
- Check and sign other compounder’s batch sheets for solvent/ deionised water/raw materials additions.
- Maintain a clean working environment during manufacturing batches.
- Train new operators in the compounding roles
- Responsible for the chemical levels for the deionised water plants, along with sanitation duties and regeneration.
- Oversee and monitor bulk chemical deliveries.
- Pump concentrate into pallecons or portable vats.
- Tank dip for underground solvent tanks.
- General cleaning of manufacturing area in accordance with GMP.
To Be Successful:
- Higher School Certificate (or equivalent), TAFE or tertiary qualifications highly advantageous.
- Computer literacy (M3 experience advantageous)
- Ability to multitask and work towards deadlines
- Strong consideration for quality standards and processes
- Experience demonstrating a strong level of teamwork and communication skills.
- Ensure attention to detail with all aspects of the tasks required.
- A Forklift licence is desired, must be willing to undertake a course to gain a Forklift licence
