About the role

Plastec Australia, a leading manufacturer of high-quality plastic plumbing products, is seeking a skilled and experienced Die Setter - Injection Moulding Technician to join our team in Caloundra, on the Sunshine Coast. This full time role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our high-tech injection moulding machines, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

- Setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality (from 200-5500T)
- Problem solve machine settings and conduct preventive maintenance
- Performing quality checks on finished products and implementing necessary adjustments to the moulding process
- Collaborate with the production team, other die-setters and technicians to identify and resolve any issues and maintain production output
- Maintaining detailed records of machine settings, production data, and any maintenance or repair activities
- Providing training and guidance to less experienced operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

What we're looking for

- An experienced Injection Moulding Technician or Die Setter, with a strong understanding of injection moulding processes and equipment
- Proficient in setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines, as well as conducting preventive maintenance
- Mechanical aptitude with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment




- Extensive knowledge with a wide range of plastic materials (particularly PVC) would be an advantage
- Experienced in the safe operation of overhead cranes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with the production team
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in injection moulding or a related field will be highly regarded
