The Estate Management (EM) function provides a range of services and advice to all Faculties and Divisions on physical estate matters. It does this by providing campus planning, infrastructure planning, development, construction, refurbishment, maintenance, security and environmental management. It also provides a wide range of logistic and associated services to ensure safe and secure campuses environments.

Why Your Role Matters:

We are seeking two Emergency Management Coordinator’s, who will be responsible for supporting the emergency management arrangements across all UNSW sites by providing day to day operational support. This can include responding to emergencies on campus, providing advice to emergency control organisations and security teams on emergency management,



developing and facilitating regular training exercises, actively recruiting ECO members, ensuring plans and procedures are reviewed and updated and undertaking regular stakeholder engagement and developing awareness programs.

The Emergency Management Coordinator ensures that all decisions are made in accordance with the relevant rules, legislation, strategy, policies and procedures of the University, which may change or be adjusted from time to time.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Respond to emergencies on campus to provide leadership and coordination
- Establish and develop strong stakeholder relationships
- Develop and implement ongoing awareness campaigns and modules
- Support the Emergency Manager in maintaining emergency management and major incident management plans and procedures
- Develop and facilitate evacuation and lockdown exercises

Who You Are:

- A Certification/Diploma in Emergency Management or related discipline and demonstrated experience in responding to emergencies and maintaining emergency management arrangements.
- The position holder must hold a Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE 40116).
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislative requirements, including Australian Standards and NSW State Emergency Management Arrangements.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop and deliver emergency management training with direction from senior management.
- High level organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to deal with multiple tasks and projects, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.




- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the proven ability to provide high level briefings and reports to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
