We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Logistics Supervisor. The Padman Group are manufacturers of precast concrete irrigation structures for the surface irrigation industry. We’ve been working hard over the past 30 years alongside farmers to solve their most pressing irrigation challenges.
This position offers the successful candidate a outstanding opportunity to develop a career with a growing company. The successful applicant will be responsible for partnering with the business as well as service providers to ensure efficient flow and distribution of products to customers are maintained. You will also be responsible for leading and developing a team as well as partake in continuous improvement initiatives.
About the role:
- Schedule delivery of customer orders.
- Customer service calls and advising customers of delivery dates.
- Manage delivery schedule and routes for internal truck drivers and contract drivers.
- Manage trucking company compliance and reporting.
- Implement streamlined distribution processes.
- Lead and develop logistics and yard team members.
- Seek out and implement continuous improvements across logistics and distribution processes.
- Ensure quality standards are adhered to in line with the industry regulations.
- Weekly and monthly data collection and OKR reporting.
Are you the right fit:
- Customer service and or administration experience (3+ years)
- Experience in Freight, Logistics and Distribution Management within a highly regulated industry is required.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills is a must.
- Sound knowledge of quality procedures in a regulated industry is required.
- Experience working with SAP is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to generate reports and create visibility across logistics and distribution for internal teams.
- Forklift license essential.
- Open C Class driver’s license and reliable transport.
