About the role

As the Medium-Term Maintenance Planner at Appin Mine, you’ll be responsible for developing and scheduling maintenance activities at the mine up to a 2-year horizon. Reporting to the Manager Maintenance you will be supported in your efforts in continually seeking to improve our maintenance practices and equipment performance across the operation.

Key Accountabilities

- Manage the Site Major Events Calendar by ensuring major engineering and project work is captured in the 13 week – 2 year planning horizon to input into the production forecast
- Match and schedule resource numbers for major shutdown events in association with Maintenance Superintendents and Coordinators
- Consolidate infrastructure installation schedules to ensure works as part of the Asset Management 5-year strategies are mapped against the mine forecast
- Support the development of project schedules for shutdowns and align works across major outages




- Support the development of detailed plans for outages where required
- Support the Managers and Superintendents in the compilation of the maintenance budgets through providing data from SAP as required
- Manage the medium-term resource balancing for trade numbers at the mine site and liaise with contract partners on long term resourcing levels

About you

- Trade Certificate, Degree, or Associate Diploma in a relevant Engineering field
- Experience working in similar role in the mining industry – underground coal preferable
- Experience with SAP work management – preferable
- Strong communication and consultative skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively

Location

This position will be based at the Appin mine which is in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
