About the role

We have an opportunity for an Operations Assistant to effectively direct the day-to-day operational activities of our Derrimut transport facility.

The role is ideal for someone wanting to develop their operations skills further and take the next step in their career progression.

This position will layout the who, what, when and how our daily operations deliver on customer expectations and utilise our people and equipment safety and effectively.

This is not an entry-level role; however its an opportunity for someone with experience in transport to apply with a "can do” attitude and be able to roll up your sleeves when required

Key duties performed by this role include:

- Monday to Friday with weekends on a roster bases
- The want to learn and grow with an awesome team
- Monitor on-time performance meeting customer expectations
- Providing support to the administrative team to ensure all relevant paperwork and compliance is met.




- Assist with incident reporting and investigation of any safety and compliance incidents and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented to monitor and resolve issues.
- Ensure CoR obligations are met at all times

To be successful for this position you must be able to demonstrate and meet the following criteria:

- Demonstrated industry experience in transport, logistics or supply chain operations (preferably refrigerated transport);
- The ability to listen and learn, think on their feet and see things through to a conclusion
- Positive knowledge of the Melbourne metro area
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- We will teach you the next steps and learn to grow in a Family Business
- Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency with unrestricted working rights
