SITE MANAGER

Agriculture/Grain Accumulation

Rain Agribusiness & Rain-Ag Shipping provides cotton and broadacre businesses in Queensland and NSW with agribusiness solutions and commodity broking services.

Our vision is “to make supply chains easy”. We provide pathways for our customers from the farm through to shipping.

The business has a strong focus on supply chain knowledge and leveraging opportunities to benefit its client base which includes farmers, warehouse and logistics companies, technology providers and merchants.

Our other business, Raw Cotton Australia, is a marketplace for ginned Australian cotton bales. The business is looking to further consolidate the exceptional business model, which has seen significant growth over the past few years.

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to commence at our Brisbane site and relocate to our new Wellcamp site at Toowoomba.

The Site Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the site and staff and ensuring that everything runs efficiently, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

In this role, you will:

• Supervise a team of grain handlers ensuring the site runs smoothly and efficiently, including scheduling, budgeting and casual/sub-contractor management

• Assist the Shipping Operations Manager in planning, resourcing receivables and out-loading of grain during peak and off-peak seasons

• Safely manage grain receivals and outloads





• Build and maintain relationships with local transport providers and growers

• Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards

• Manage and coordinate all on-site activities, including site inspections, meetings, and progress updates

• Ensure that all site documentation is accurate and up-to-date

• Monitor and report on site/project progress, including budget, schedule, and quality control

• Provide leadership and support to the team, ensuring that all team members are working together effectively to achieve goals and timelines

• Ensure that all site equipment and materials are properly maintained and used according to manufacturer specifications

• Conduct regular safety/toolbox meetings and ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed on site.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on similar grain/accumulation or logistic sites

• Robust knowledge of logistics methods, techniques, and regulations

• Excellent leadership and management skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

About You:

Experience in the agriculture industry or a farming background is highly regarded. Excellent communication skills and an ability to manage people and a large site will be the key to success in this role.
