About the role

National Capital Private Hospital is currently seeking professional a customer focused Supply Officerto join their busy team of professionals on a full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the Supply Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with the supply management of hospital, focusing in operating theatres with involvement in wards and other areas within the hospital.

The position also includes handling supply & imprest queries as well as general duties in our logistics area. The position is hands on and requires a high level of physical work.

The extensive range of acute and medical healthcare includes orthopaedics, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, urology and geriatric medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

Receipt and delivery of goods to wards / units, restocking of imprest locations and recording receipts in the inventory management system

Generating supplier orders using an Inventory Management System and ensuring an efficient and effective stock management process that facilitates accurate stock valuation

Return incorrect stock and monitor receipt of credits for returned stock

Monitor back orders and liaise with Nurse Unit Managers

Assist with biannual stock take as per policy and direction from Finance Director

Essential Criteria:

Experience with a computerised purchasing system (i.e. Technology One)

Previous experience working in a hospital, with healthcare products or in a high volume warehouse setting

Self-motivated and highly organised

Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment

Medical product knowledge (desired)
