Overall Role Purpose

The Delivery Driver is responsible for:

• Transportation and delivery of packages, parcels, cartons. or goods, to their designated locations efficiently and safely.

• Picking up packages, parcels, cartons, or goods, and transporting back to the depot to make transfer connection.

• Being customer focused – connecting people through excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading packages, parcels, and goods from the vehicle.





• Planning delivery route and ensuring that deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner.

• Ensuring packages and goods are delivered safely and securely.

• Communicating with customers, in line with company values.

• Maintaining the delivery van, including regular checks and reporting any faults/issues.

• Ensure accurate information is presented through correct scanning and PODs.

Skills

• Time management – to plan and manage time effectively, for on-time delivery.

• Attention to detail – strong knowledge of each delivery details, such as addresses and special instructions.

• Navigation – using GPS and other tools to create the most efficient route.

• Communication – to colleagues, team leaders and customer focused when dealing with customers.

• Safe driving – to safely operate a vehicle in all weather and road conditions.
