What does the role consist of?

This is a full time permanent opportunity to join our Workshop Division based at Roe Highway Logistics Park- Kenwick. The role of the Workshop Supervisor is to ensure the day to day running of the workshop is safe and efficient. The Workshop Supervisor will have the opportunity to mentor apprentice mechanics, guide & direct the trades people as required by the Workshop Manager and expectations of the business.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

- Supervise a team of apprentice and qualified HV Mechanics, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure that all work is completed on time and to a high standard
- Maintain a safe and productive working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies and equipment as needed
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction




- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time and materials used
- Utilisation of fleet systems and other systems/software as needed
- Scheduling of weekend and on call roster according to workload

Skills & Qualifications:

- Australian Recognised Cert III in Heavy Vehicle or Heavy Commercial Road Transport
- Frontline Management Certificate not essential but looked up favourably
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a workshop or similar environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of workshop equipment and tools
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
