Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated Electrician to join our high-performing team at our Mt Thorley site.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring quality assurance is to company standard
- Maintaining and repairing Hedweld products and equipment
- Meeting work schedules
- Providing a high level of customer service
- Directing and training other employees and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Manufacturing and fitting out of electrical systems such as wiring harnesses and control panels as part of production line process to meet product sales
- Electrical assembly, testing and commissioning of product machinery and equipment
- Manufacturing, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing faulty electrical components within wiring harnesses and control panels
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctioning fixed and mobile plant machinery whilst liaising with management, operators and maintenance personnel, to diagnose malfunction
- Carrying out repairs to low and extra low voltage electrical equipment such as hand tools and leads
- Testing & Tagging site electrical equipment
- Carrying out new electrical installations, as well as repairs and maintenance to existing low voltage electrical infrastructure
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and ensures they are of appropriate quality and conform to electrical principles, drawing standards, customer requirements and related specifications
- Liaising with department supervisors, management, and sub-contractors to plan assembly, establishing priorities and sequences for finished products
- Ensuring production and quality of products meets company specifications and customer requirements
- Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product and work efficiency
Essential Criteria:
- Trade Qualification – Certificate III Electro Technology
- NSW Electrical License
- Strong electrical analytical and solution driven skills
- Strong understanding of AS/NZS 3000:2018 Wiring Rules
- A positive understanding of Electrical Control System's
- Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings
- Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously
- Current driver’s license & own transport
Desirable Criteria:
- NSW High Risk Work License – EWP (WP) & Forklift (LF)
- Nationally Accredited Working at Heights
- PLC experience i.e. reading and writing programs as well as troubleshooting.
