About this opportunity

The primary purpose of the site Industrial Maintenance electrician is to provide production support on the current plant machinery, both breakdown/troubleshooting, project and CI implementation. This site electrician role is part of a maintenance team covering 24hrs, 5 days a week operation with additional support for weekend production as required.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

This role requires the individual to work autonomously and at times and having to make prioritizing decisions as required.

Fault finding and troubleshooting is critical to the role, working on a range of specialised equipment.

There is a requirement to have a solid understanding of the following equipment;

- PLC logic, SCADA and IO troubleshooting, Siemens
- Safety control logic, with an understanding of Australian Safety Standards
- Understanding of extruders, Automated bulk bagging machines and optical sorting systems
- Maintenance of electrical controls of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveying and optical sorting systems
- Site services including, compressors, chillers, boilers.





As well as participate in the following;

- assisting technicians / Machine operators on site as required
- daily meetings as required

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

General electrical troubleshooting, maintenance & repairs on manufacturing production lines

Proven and strong knowledge a PLC’s c/w associated Software, VSD’s, HMI’s…etc

Understanding and working with Safety Systems and Standards, Omron, PIlz…etc

A team player with a positive, self-motivated and proactive attitude is essential.

Able to read and understand ELD’s and P&ID;’s

Stock control of relevant electrical spare parts

Qualifications

A Class Electrical licence
