For over 20 years, Total Marine Technology (TMT) has been designing and manufacturing work-class Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), associated tooling, and equipment for the oil and gas industry right here in Western Australia. We operate numerous ROV spreads worldwide for a wide range of clients. Furthermore, we develop and manufacture bespoke machines for harsh environments for safer operations in the defence and resources sectors.

Combining mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software engineering under one roof along with a fully functioning workshop with machining, fabrication, hydraulics, electrical, and electronics capabilities, TMT is a company like no other in Perth. Our employees are what make us great, and currently, more than 150 employees passionately contribute to the ongoing success of our products and services. We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

This position is offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis at our Bibra Lake office and workshop facility. Your key responsibilities in this position will include:

- Concept development;
- Design of systems, components, tooling and accessories for underwater and land based remotely operated machines;
- Design calculations and reports.





Other responsibilities encompassing:

- Monitoring job/project costs and progress;
- Preparing project reports, and scope of work;
- Liaising with clients and addressing requirements;
- Drafting production drawings.

Criteria: Required:

- BEng, BSc, or MSc in Mechanical/Structural Engineering discipline;
- Minimum 3 years of design experience;
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering processes;
- Comprehensive understanding of design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).

Desirable:

- Engineering experience in the marine and offshore industry;
- Experience with electro-hydraulic designs;
- Experience with structural calculations and FEA;
- Project management exposure.
