What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?

Product Development

- Project manage the development critical path, ensuring all products are launched on brief, on profit and on time
- Become the internal expert in the manufacturing of the product(s) you will manage.
- Ensure we achieve the right balance in design, materials, quality and cost, by developing profitable products our customers will love.

Driving Profit

- Grow the profitability of your category by developing new products that always achieve margins targets.
- Use analysis and insights to negotiate cost reductions on existing products.
- Influence internal teams on commercial decisions that maximize the profitability of the products under your remit.

Supplier Management

- Lead and influence the partnerships with existing and new suppliers, globally.
- Accountable for all supplier negotiations, including commercial agreements, licensing deals, payment terms, costs and rebates, ensuring we achieve profitable outcomes.




- Build an understanding of the capabilities of your suppliers (materials, processes, costs, lead times), to ensure we have the right partner for every product we launch.

Requirements

Ideal background…

- Degree qualified in product management, business or relevant qualification.
- 5+ years in product development, or manufacturing within the furniture industry
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to understand the big picture and prioritize competing considerations.
- High-level attention to detail.
- The drive and energy to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Awesome at Excel with strong analytical and numerical skills.
