About Our Role(s)

Simplot Australia are seeking applications for the positions of Production Operator to be engaged on a casual basis at our Kelso based food manufacturing facility. Simplot Kelso is home to our frozen seafood and snack line production and produces about 50 tonnes of product each day. Approximately 95% of items are made of either Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) or Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seafood.

Commencing ASAP, these roles will form an integral part of our preparation and packing teams.

Our facility operates over a Monday - Saturday roster with day / afternoon / night shifts (8 hour shifts)

- Ordinary rates of $39.44 p/h (incl. of 25% casual loading) + shift loadings & penalties (where applicable)
- On the job training provided
- Fully supplied and laundered uniform
- Boots & PPE provided

What You Will Do

- Undertake all required safety and job specific training
- Safely operate a range of fixed plant processing & high speed packing equipment
- Work in conjunction with our wider production and site management teams to achieve production targets
- Contribute to site continuous improvement processes




- Work across a variety of day / afternoon / night shifts

About You

- Possess a 100% commitment to health, safety and wellbeing within the workplace
- Be available for an ASAP commencement
- Manufacturing experience would be advantageous but not essential
- A willingness & ability to work across a variety of day / afternoon / night shifts (Mon-Sat)
- Possess positive communication skills and the desire to learn and retain new skills
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical (incl. urine based drug & alcohol screening)
