The role

The role of the Senior Product Manager (SPM) GI Technologies is to develop and execute strategic product plans for the Surgical portfolio within the GI Business Unit. As Product Marketing lead in the GI Business Unit, you will hold a position of leadership and influence, providing mentorship to more junior team members within the business unit. You will be responsible for driving portfolio revenue growth and profitability by identifying new opportunities and optimizing existing products in the Surgical portfolio as well as:

- Manage the surgical product portfolio, including setting out key objectives and strategies
- Develop and maintain strong relationship management with Surgical portfolio product manufacturers to provide timely market/product feedback, sales forecasts & reports as required
- Mentor and support junior GI Business Unit PMs & sales team members as required




- Maintain awareness of market trends and threats by analysing statistical and commercial information from government and industry sources
- Work with our Marketing team in the planning of and participation in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote Surgical Portfolio products
- Product lifecycle management including product introduction, product training, product recalls, product forecast, end of life, & technical case support
- Provision of training and support to Product Specialists on Surgical product portfolio
- Average 3-5 days interstate travel per month
- Overseas travel as required

About you

- Proven track record of successful product launch
- Experience with product management on implants and consumables
- Strong interest to step into a more senior role
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Product & clinical expertise in core product portfolio & therapeutic area
- Proven track record & ability to achieve portfolio goals & strategic product objectives
- Ability to develop & foster relationships with KOL’s in core therapeutic areas
- Confidence to provide mentorship and leadership within a team of individuals
- Able to critically & quantitatively analyse product performance market conditions and potential
- Pre-existing relationships in core therapeutics areas & tertiary qualifications preferred
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel & Salesforce to analyse sales data, & create reports which show product portfolio performance
