Munich Re is the leading reinsurer in the Australasian Non Life market and offers both treaty and facultative reinsurance support for all the main classes of business including Property, Engineering Liability, Motor and Marine.

The New Markets team, within the Non-Life Division, is creating growth verticals for Munich Re. We do this by engaging new client segments on matters such as Climate Change, Green Tech, Ag Tech, and Digital innovation. We are regarded as the climate partner for financial institutions, assisting them to understand and manage their exposure to Climate Change. We do this by utilising our natural peril modelling capabilities and our deep knowledge of climate change; something the Munich Re group has been doing since the ‘70s.

This newly created position will report in to the Head of New Markets.

YOUR ROLE

Strategy Support/ Communications (60%)

- Help shape the Current Markets strategy and projects, building the communications required to support the strategy
- Be involved in New Markets initiative delivery to determine the content needed to delight our clients
- Build a personal network across the Munich Re group to support New Markets success




- Create external client presentations to showcase Munich Re
- Grow the New Markets external profile by identifying the best platforms and writing documents / presentations for target audiences

Risk Management (40%)

- Act as project co-ordinator, identifying governance needs and design processes to enhance the success of New Markets
- Ensure New Markets programs have proper structure to ensure success and manage initiative owners for timely input
- Identify potential blockages to success and potential solutions
- Assist the Head of New Markets to manage risk following the Munich Re Risk Management process and good governance

YOUR PROFILE

- 3+ years experience in either consulting, banking, insurance or reinsurance
- Advanced PowerPoint experience to create packs which deliver insights in a easy and succinct way
- Motivated to build strong networks with the ability to bavigate a large, complex organisation
