Five by Five is looking for a Mid-weight Designer with a passion for developing design visuals and creative layouts that put our clients' brands on the map or launch new products to market. You will step into a growing and energetic creative team in an independent Surry Hills agency with a global footprint. You will be delivering integrated work for a range of interesting clients. In recent times, we've secured Guinness World Records, had work displayed at the Smithsonian Museum with a global climate change brand, animated a care free world for your go-to payment tech, managed branded events and activations at one of the world's biggest gaming conventions and been appointed personally by Snap founder, Evan Spiegel. The job demands that you have an unadulterated passion for art and design and to create it in concert with a wider team of art directors, copywriters, animators and developers. Requirements• Approach briefs with a fresh eye and an attitude that this project will be your next best• Be able to sell your work internally like it's paying for your next meal • Have an unerring dedication to the core principles of design, layout and typography. Know your kerning from your burning• Be tech savvy and up-to-date with recent digital platforms,

Responsibilities• Report in to the Executive Creative Director• Work collaboratively with other designers and art directors as well as account managers• Be able to create visual layouts, presentation templates and mock ups, digital designs for websites, display advertising, social content and campaign comms • Prepare and artwork design for print• Form a flexible and harmonious link between the creative and account service teams• Continue to hone your craft and excellence in design execution• Present your work internally • Seek to improve on your knowledge in new and emerging technologies and trends. Skills, attributes and qualifications • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Designer for advertising/marketing agencies • Ideally, Bachelor of Arts or equivalent degree in commercial arts or communications • Able to execute designs and presentation layouts to a high visual standard for pitches and client presentations• Mid-Advanced use of applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Figma a minimum• Working knowledge of After Effects, Premiere, Xd and Animate a bonus.• Sense of humour • Unbreakable work ethic.
