As the Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting function for the business, with a strong focus on month-end reporting. Working alongside other stakeholders, the Accountant will provide insights to help drive business decisions and support the company's growth.

Description
- Responsible for month end tasks for certain ledgers within the Group, including Accruals and Provisions, Prepayments, Fixed assets, Intercompany reconciliations, Revaluations and other items as required.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports for certain ledgers including balance sheet, profit and loss statement.
- Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts for up to 9 entities and growing.
- Full ownership to ensure accuracy of data.
- Liaise with the Accounts Payable and Transactional Accounting teams.
- Reviewing and approving transactions posted by the Transactional Accounting Team.
- Responsible for customer invoicing and managing collections for certain entities within Group.
- Assist with the preparation and lodgment of local statutory direct and indirect taxation requirements, including Payroll Tax, GST/BAS returns and income tax returns.
- Assist with the preparation of Annual and Half Yearly financial reporting.
- Assist with budgeting.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and reporting.
- Assist with process improvement.
- Liaise with external Auditors in relation to the annual audit and half year review.
- Ad hoc tasks as required.
Profile
- 2-3 years' experience as an Accountant managing smooth month end reporting
- Experience working in the healthcare industry
- CPA or CA qualified, or working towards
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with Xero is highly desirable
