Marketing Co-ordinator – Full time

Yo-Chi was born from an idea to bring together delicious frozen yogurt and toppings, with an infinite flow of positive energy, in a space where people of all ages feel equally welcome. Yo-Chi kick-started Melbourne’s self-serve frozen yogurt scene with the opening of the first venue in Balaclava in September 2012. As of today, we have 14 stores with plans to double the size of the business over the next 2 years. About the role:
The Marketing Coordinator’s primary role is to support the Marketing Leader to build Yo-Chi’s brand awareness and engagement, through the execution of the social media strategy, targeted local area marketing initiatives, EDM co-ordination and website maintenance.
Reporting to the Marketing Leader, responsibilities include:
Social media and community engagement:
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement the monthly social media and content calendar.
- Content scheduling and account maintenance across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Yo-Chi app etc).
- Work with Marketing team in creating challenges/tasks for the TikTok team.
- Assist the Marketing team with any coordination needs for photoshoots and video content.
- Respond to customer enquiries, questions, or comments on all social media platforms.
- Assist with monthly reporting on overall marketing and social media performance.
- Work with the team to develop new ideas for social content to drive follower acquisition and engagement.
- Assist with paid social - analyse and optimise targeted advertising on social platforms to reach target audiences.
- Build an authentic community and drive brand trust, awareness, and loyalty.
EDM:
- Assist in the setup, content, and imagery for fortnightly e-newsletters.
- Assist with monthly reporting on EDM performance.
- Optimise our email strategy based on open and click through rates, creating interest tagging, automation, and customer journeys.
- Work with the team to create audience segments, and content for specific audience campaigns.
Local area marketing:
- Support the Venue Leaders with local area marketing needs including helping to scope relevant campaigns and community partnerships,
and creating assets, copy, and images for external comms.
- Organise printing and delivery of vouchers, marketing collateral and other promotional materials.
- Support the Marketing Leader with planning and creating local marketing events and PR activities.
- Organise required printing and signage for all new venues.
- Respond to all enquiries that come to the View email address on jobs.institutedata.com inbox.
Other brand building and engagement focuses:
- General website updates – including venue hours, blogs, new locations, and monthly topping changes.
- Work with the Marketing team on influencer relations and managing PR opportunities.
- Create topping tags, monthly topping cards, and TV screens in Canva.
- Assist with app updates.
- Assist with monthly reporting on app performance – including growth rate, downloads, frequency etc.
About You:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Strong Office 365 skills – Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- A strong focus on building relationships
- Good technical aptitude and a “can-do” approach to your work.
- A good understanding of how social media can drive sales and/or branding goals
- Baseline understanding of digital data and analytics
