My client is a well-established global hedge fund with a successful track record in the industry. Their Sydney office is looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join a successful Macro PM’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quantitative models to identify trading opportunities across a range of asset classes including FX and Rates.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Conducting quantitative analysis of economic data, market trends, and financial instruments to identify potential trading opportunities
- Developing and implementing quantitative models to analyze market data and generate trading signals
- Collaborating with portfolio managers and traders to develop and refine trading strategies
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis to support investment decision-making
- Monitoring portfolio risk and performance and recommending adjustments as needed





To be eligible for the role you will require:

- 2-5 years of experience in a quantitative role in finance or related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in statistical analysis and modelling
- Strong programming skills, with experience in Python, R, or MATLAB
- Knowledge of financial markets and instruments, with a focus on FX and Rates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or engineering
